# Shield Community vs XMcosy+

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shield Community at 50% against XMcosy+'s 17%. Shield Community also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). XMcosy+'s advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 34). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

XMcosy+ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: XMcosy+ has 1.1K ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Shield Community's written reviews are positive against 17% of XMcosy+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shield Community ships an update every 2 months, XMcosy+ every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
