# YouMind vs Deer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Deer at 89% against YouMind's 48%. Deer also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5). YouMind's advantage is ratings volume (111 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YouMind sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Deer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Deer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YouMind has 111 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. YouMind ships an update every 2 weeks, Deer every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
