# YPT vs Phystech

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Phystech at none against YPT's 8. Phystech also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (75% vs 56%). YPT's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YPT sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Phystech asks for nothing beyond the download.

Phystech holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YPT has 1.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of YPT's written reviews are positive against 75% of Phystech's.

YPT ships an update every 2 days, Phystech every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
