# YPT vs FocusTok

The clearest difference is update cadence: YPT at every 2 days against FocusTok's fortnightly. YPT also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 9) and device support (4 vs 2). FocusTok's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 56%) and rating (4.9 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YPT sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and FocusTok sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FocusTok holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YPT has 1.7K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of YPT's written reviews are positive against 80% of FocusTok's.

YPT ships an update every 2 days, FocusTok fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
