# YPT vs StudiesTimer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: StudiesTimer at 100% against YPT's 56%. StudiesTimer also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). YPT's advantage is ratings volume (1.8K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YPT sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and StudiesTimer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudiesTimer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YPT has 1.8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of YPT's written reviews are positive against 100% of StudiesTimer's.

YPT ships an update every 2 days, StudiesTimer every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
