# SIMOSA vs Onic

The clearest difference is monetization model: SIMOSA at free against Onic's free with in-app purchases. SIMOSA also leads on ratings volume (511 vs 78) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Onic's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 22%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.6 for SIMOSA against 3.7 for Onic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SIMOSA has 511 ratings behind it against 78, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 22% of SIMOSA's written reviews are positive against 36% of Onic's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
