# Roadmap vs inShort²

The clearest difference is rating: inShort² at 5.0 against Roadmap's 4.5. inShort² also leads on review sentiment (68% vs 43%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Roadmap's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Roadmap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per year and inShort² sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

inShort² holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Roadmap has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 43% of Roadmap's written reviews are positive against 68% of inShort²'s.

Roadmap ships an update every 3 months, inShort² monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
