# SIMCAM AI vs Security Home

The clearest difference is rating: Security Home at 4.3 against SIMCAM AI's 2.3. Security Home also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 28). SIMCAM AI's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Home sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. SIMCAM AI asks for nothing beyond the download.

Security Home holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Home has 11K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of SIMCAM AI's written reviews are positive against 19% of Security Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SIMCAM AI ships an update every 2 weeks, Security Home every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
