# MyMaritime vs EcoNet

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MyMaritime at 100% against EcoNet's 15%. MyMaritime also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). EcoNet's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EcoNet holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EcoNet has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MyMaritime's written reviews are positive against 15% of EcoNet's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MyMaritime ships an update every 10 months, EcoNet every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
