# PlayGAMI vs OCTAR

The clearest difference is update cadence: OCTAR at every 2 weeks against PlayGAMI's every 6 months. PlayGAMI's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PlayGAMI ships an update every 6 months, OCTAR every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
