# Database for Stardew Valley vs ProDex

The clearest difference is update cadence: ProDex at every 4 days against Database for Stardew Valley's every 2 months. ProDex also leads on review sentiment (88% vs 69%). Database for Stardew Valley's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Database for Stardew Valley sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and ProDex sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Database for Stardew Valley holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4K and 4.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Database for Stardew Valley's written reviews are positive against 88% of ProDex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Database for Stardew Valley ships an update every 2 months, ProDex every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
