# Arctic King vs BLACK+DECKER Smart

The clearest difference is rating: BLACK+DECKER Smart at 3.8 against Arctic King's 3.1. Arctic King's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 19 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BLACK+DECKER Smart holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arctic King has 183 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Arctic King's written reviews are positive against 0% of BLACK+DECKER Smart's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Arctic King ships an update every 2 months, BLACK+DECKER Smart every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
