# SIMATIC Notifier vs Smart

The clearest difference is ads: SIMATIC Notifier at none against Smart's shown. Smart's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 10 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SIMATIC Notifier ships an update every 10 months, Smart every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
