# ErnieApp vs Call Shield

The clearest difference is update cadence: Call Shield at every 2 weeks against ErnieApp's every 3 months. ErnieApp's advantage is iOS requirement (13.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ErnieApp sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Call Shield sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
