# Daily Readings vs The Light

The clearest difference is update cadence: Daily Readings at every 3 weeks against The Light's every 13 months. The Light's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Daily Readings ships an update every 3 weeks, The Light every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
