# Lava Flood vs Tornados

Lava Flood and Tornados both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 90% of Lava Flood's written reviews are positive against 54% of Tornados's. Lava Flood also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months). Tornados's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 20) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Lava Flood against 4.6 for Tornados. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tornados has 2.1K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Lava Flood's written reviews are positive against 54% of Tornados's.

Lava Flood ships an update every 4 days, Tornados every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
