# PDC vs Dart Counter

The clearest difference is rating: Dart Counter at 4.0 against PDC's 2.9. Dart Counter also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). PDC's advantage is ratings volume (88 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dart Counter holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDC has 88 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDC ships an update every 2 weeks, Dart Counter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
