# PDC vs Tacklebox

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PDC at none against Tacklebox's 1. Tacklebox's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tacklebox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. PDC asks for nothing beyond the download.

PDC ships an update every 2 weeks, Tacklebox fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
