# Goodnotes vs Synchrono

The clearest difference is update cadence: Synchrono at every 2 days against Goodnotes's weekly. Goodnotes's advantage is chart position (#101 vs unranked) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goodnotes sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Synchrono sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Goodnotes ships an update weekly, Synchrono every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
