# Domestika vs Scribd

The clearest difference is rating: Domestika at 4.8 against Scribd's 2.8. Domestika also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (12K vs 278). Scribd's advantage is chart position (#131 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Domestika sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Scribd sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Domestika holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Domestika has 12K ratings behind it against 278, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Domestika ships an update every 3 weeks, Scribd fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
