# FOBD vs G

The clearest difference is ads: FOBD at none against G's shown. FOBD also leads on iOS requirement (10.0 vs 16.4). G's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FOBD ships an update every 3 months, G fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
