# Harmonix vs VisualSound

The clearest difference is update cadence: VisualSound at every 2 days against Harmonix's every 2 weeks. VisualSound also leads on device support (3 vs 1). Harmonix's advantage is price ($14.99 vs $19.99) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Harmonix costs $14.99 and VisualSound $19.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Harmonix against 5.0 for VisualSound. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Harmonix has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
