# PingMe vs TextUs

The clearest difference is rating: PingMe at 3.7 against TextUs's 2.3. PingMe also leads on review sentiment (48% vs 17%) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 35). TextUs's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PingMe sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. TextUs asks for nothing beyond the download.

PingMe holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PingMe has 1.1K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two.
