# Markdown Notes vs Markdown゜

The clearest difference is rating: Markdown゜ at 4.5 against Markdown Notes's 1.0. Markdown゜ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (473 vs 1). Markdown Notes's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 31%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Markdown Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Markdown゜ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Markdown゜ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Markdown゜ has 473 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Markdown Notes's written reviews are positive against 31% of Markdown゜'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
