# Video Compressor vs W

The clearest difference is price: W at Free against Video Compressor's $1.99. Video Compressor's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (22 vs 2). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

W is free to download; Video Compressor costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Video Compressor holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Video Compressor has 22 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 97% of Video Compressor's written reviews are positive against 100% of W's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
