# Phonto vs Monasabati

The clearest difference is rating: Monasabati at 5.0 against Phonto's 4.1. Phonto's advantage is ratings volume (123 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phonto sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Monasabati sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Monasabati holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Phonto has 123 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Phonto ships an update every 3 weeks, Monasabati every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
