# SCIS Photo vs Identity+

The clearest difference is rating: Identity+ at 4.7 against SCIS Photo's 4.0. Identity+ also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (18 vs 2). SCIS Photo's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Identity+ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Identity+ has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of SCIS Photo's written reviews are positive against 19% of Identity+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SCIS Photo ships an update every 8 months, Identity+ every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
