# Speedometer × vs RevMax

The clearest difference is rating: Speedometer × at 4.6 against RevMax's 4.1. Speedometer × also leads on ratings volume (818 vs 16) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17). RevMax's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer × sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and RevMax sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedometer × holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer × has 818 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Speedometer × ships an update every 5 months, RevMax every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
