# Speedometer × vs VeloGuard

The clearest difference is update cadence: VeloGuard at every 10 days against Speedometer ×'s every 5 months. VeloGuard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Speedometer ×'s advantage is ratings volume (819 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer × sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year and VeloGuard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
