# Resume Builder vs Simple CV

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Resume Builder at 87% against Simple CV's 33%. Resume Builder also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Simple CV's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Resume Builder sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Simple CV sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resume Builder holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Resume Builder has 1.6K ratings behind it against 81, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 87% of Resume Builder's written reviews are positive against 33% of Simple CV's.

Resume Builder ships an update every 8 days, Simple CV fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
