The clearest difference is update cadence: Time Blocking Planner at every 5 weeks against Fabulist's every 15 months. Time Blocking Planner also leads on ratings volume (258 vs 13). Fabulist's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fabulist sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Time Blocking Planner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
