# Anchor Pro vs The Charter App

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Anchor Pro at 3.6K against The Charter App's 2. The Charter App's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anchor Pro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.99 per year and The Charter App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Charter App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anchor Pro has 3.6K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 79% of Anchor Pro's written reviews are positive against 100% of The Charter App's.

Anchor Pro ships an update every 2 months, The Charter App fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
