# Habit vs A Basic Girls Guide

Habit and A Basic Girls Guide both sit at 3.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 81% of A Basic Girls Guide's written reviews are positive against 37% of Habit's. A Basic Girls Guide also leads on iOS requirement (14.2 vs 16.0). Habit's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ratings volume (2.4K vs 3). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Habit sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and A Basic Girls Guide sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.7 for Habit against 3.7 for A Basic Girls Guide. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Habit has 2.4K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of Habit's written reviews are positive against 81% of A Basic Girls Guide's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
