# GitNews vs STUBENT

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: GitNews at 9.0 against STUBENT's 15.1. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GitNews sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and STUBENT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GitNews ships an update monthly, STUBENT every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
