# Esri Support vs FastXY

The clearest difference is rating: FastXY at 5.0 against Esri Support's 4.5. Esri Support's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (33 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FastXY holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Esri Support has 33 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Esri Support ships an update every 2 weeks, FastXY every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
