# Empire Auctions vs HelloBid

The clearest difference is ads: Empire Auctions at none against HelloBid's shown. HelloBid's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 21 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Empire Auctions ships an update every 21 months, HelloBid every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on July 7, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
