# Bus Simulator vs PTS

The clearest difference is ads: Bus Simulator at none against PTS's shown. Bus Simulator also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 1.6K) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). PTS's advantage is review sentiment (88% vs 66%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bus Simulator sells 19 one-off in-app purchases and PTS sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Bus Simulator against 4.5 for PTS. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bus Simulator has 17K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 66% of Bus Simulator's written reviews are positive against 88% of PTS's.

Bus Simulator ships an update every 6 months, PTS every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
