# Kinks vs AltCom

The clearest difference is rating: AltCom at 5.0 against Kinks's 4.4. AltCom also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Kinks's advantage is ratings volume (513 vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kinks sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and AltCom sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AltCom holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kinks has 513 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kinks ships an update every 2 months, AltCom every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
