# Journey CC vs Waffle

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Journey CC at none against Waffle's 17. Journey CC also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and device support (4 vs 2). Waffle's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (11K vs 4). On price, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waffle sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Journey CC asks for nothing beyond the download.

Journey CC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Waffle has 11K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Journey CC ships an update every 19 months, Waffle weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
