# MIMO vs AI Chat

The clearest difference is rating: AI Chat at 4.7 against MIMO's 4.0. AI Chat also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.2 vs 26.5). MIMO's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MIMO sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and AI Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AI Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AI Chat has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MIMO ships an update every 3 weeks, AI Chat fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
