# Triode vs Broadcasts

The clearest difference is rating: Broadcasts at 4.7 against Triode's 4.3. Broadcasts also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (75% vs 61%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Triode sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Broadcasts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Broadcasts holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Broadcasts has 964 ratings behind it against 138, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 61% of Triode's written reviews are positive against 75% of Broadcasts's.

Triode ships an update every 3 months, Broadcasts monthly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
