# Profy vs Skillset

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Skillset at 100% against Profy's 50%. Skillset also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Profy's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 9). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Profy holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Profy has 1.8K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Profy's written reviews are positive against 100% of Skillset's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Profy ships an update fortnightly, Skillset every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
