# Utkarsh vs MyInstitute

The clearest difference is rating: MyInstitute at 4.7 against Utkarsh's 4.2. MyInstitute also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 9) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyInstitute holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyInstitute has 1.6K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Utkarsh's written reviews are positive against 69% of MyInstitute's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Utkarsh ships an update every 6 weeks, MyInstitute monthly. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
