# Utkarsh vs SSC Testbook

The clearest difference is rating: SSC Testbook at 5.0 against Utkarsh's 4.0. SSC Testbook also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 18.6). Utkarsh's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (71% vs 50%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SSC Testbook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Utkarsh asks for nothing beyond the download.

SSC Testbook holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Utkarsh has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Utkarsh's written reviews are positive against 50% of SSC Testbook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Utkarsh ships an update every 6 weeks, SSC Testbook every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
