# Vegan Friendly vs Better Without

The clearest difference is rating: Vegan Friendly at 4.6 against Better Without's 3.5. Vegan Friendly also leads on ratings volume (455 vs 11). Better Without's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (77% vs 52%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vegan Friendly holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vegan Friendly has 455 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Vegan Friendly's written reviews are positive against 77% of Better Without's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Vegan Friendly ships an update every 3 weeks, Better Without every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
