# Shadow PC vs NimbleDesk

The clearest difference is rating: NimbleDesk at 5.0 against Shadow PC's 3.7. NimbleDesk also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Shadow PC's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (1.9K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NimbleDesk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shadow PC has 1.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shadow PC ships an update every 6 weeks, NimbleDesk every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
