# HDlivecam vs MiniGadgets

HDlivecam and MiniGadgets both sit at 1.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 29% of MiniGadgets's written reviews are positive against 10% of HDlivecam's. HDlivecam's advantage is ratings volume (168 vs 20). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HDlivecam holds the better App Store score, 1.9 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HDlivecam has 168 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 10% of HDlivecam's written reviews are positive against 29% of MiniGadgets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HDlivecam ships an update every 6 weeks, MiniGadgets monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
