# aG Locker vs Carlowden

The clearest difference is monetization model: Carlowden at free against aG Locker's free with in-app purchases. aG Locker's advantage is ratings volume (2.7K vs 6) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for aG Locker against 4.7 for Carlowden. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: aG Locker has 2.7K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.
