# MTL Learn Russian vs Emme Russian

The clearest difference is rating: MTL Learn Russian at 4.8 against Emme Russian's 3.7. MTL Learn Russian also leads on ratings volume (105 vs 3). Emme Russian's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 15 months). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MTL Learn Russian sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Emme Russian sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MTL Learn Russian holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MTL Learn Russian has 105 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of MTL Learn Russian's written reviews are positive against 75% of Emme Russian's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MTL Learn Russian ships an update every 15 months, Emme Russian every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
