# Ora vs Zenkit Chat

Ora and Zenkit Chat both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Zenkit Chat's written reviews are positive against 64% of Ora's. Zenkit Chat also leads on ads (none vs shown). Ora's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zenkit Chat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Ora asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ora holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ora has 191 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Ora's written reviews are positive against 100% of Zenkit Chat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ora ships an update fortnightly, Zenkit Chat every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
